About INFRAMUNDO:
All tracks in INFRAMUNDO are live stereo takes, pure TRoneitor sound, no other instrument present. No editing, except for fade ins and outs, and TARTARUS is the first half of a longer track. I used multieffects from the mixer console combined in most tracks with an external effects device. In mastering, I added a spacy reverb to reinforce my own idea of an “underworld” feeling.
The names of the tracks make reference to many “locations” in underworld.
PORTAL, same word in english, is of course the entrance gate to INFRAMUNDO (underworld).
LETEO is the river Lethe, in the infernal regions, from which the Shades drank and obtained forgetfulness of the past
EL LAGO PROFUNDO is mentioned as “profundo lacu” in the latin text of the Requiem, usually translated to english as “bottomless pit”, although its literal translation from spanish should be “the deep lake”
TARTARUS, also present in Requiem text, is a particularly deep and dark region dedicated to punishment in greek’s mithology underworld
DESCENSO A LA HELICOIDE refers to the description of hell made by the extraordinary argentine writer Leopoldo Marechal in his most important novel, Adán BuenosAyres. The path for descending to the nine regions of hell in his story is helicoidal, a conical inverted spiral
Finally, LAS FAUCES DEL LEÓN comes from “ore leonis” in Requiem’s latin text, and is translated to english as “the lion’s jaws”
